  • Books:  picture, beginning/easy readers, early chapter books, middle school, young adult, large print, Christian fiction, NY Times best sellers, westerns, romance, non-fiction, biography, juvenile non-fiction, suspense, thriller, fantasy, cozy mystery 
  • Audio books (on CD)
  • DVD rentals:  New DVDs weekly [$1 per DVD for 2-3 days]
  • Gale Internet database for research/online periodicals
  • Learning Express - Achieve your educational and career goals:  adult learning center/college prep/career center/high school equivalency/practice tests/available in Spanish

  • Over 30 periodicals (see listing under "Magazines")
  • Dayton Review, Dayton Leader, and daily Fort Dodge Messenger
  • Summer reading program + summer story time
  • Interlibrary Loans : Borrow books from any library in the state!
  • Web-based circulation system interacts with Fort Dodge, Lehigh, Callender, Gowrie, Duncombe, Harcourt, Lake City, Stratford, Webster City (Kendall Young), among dozens of others.  You may use your Dayton library card at any of these libraries.
  • Open Monday / Wednesday / Friday 11 am - 6 pm and Saturday 9 am - noon
