The Scott County Public Library Board of Trustees will have two vacancies on July 1, 2024. Trustees are volunteer public officials with powers delegated to them as a public trust. Duties include fulfilling legal responsibilities established by statute as well as approving policies, budgets, and strategic plans. Trustees must be legal residents of Scott County and be available to attend Board meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. All trustees serve a four-year term, and should be willing to advocate for the library and intellectual freedom. March 21st is both International Forests Day AND International Color Day. Join Julia and Yolanda for a fun mashup of these two celebrations. Participants will learn more about forests and make a small, colorful craft.
Discover! Programs are designed with consideration for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Registration is required - participants' caregivers need to be present and register for the class as well. Ages 16 and older.
