The Mecklenburg County Public Library’s Board of Trustees is comprised of five members.  It is a governing board of trustees.

The trustees are appointed by the Mecklenburg County Board of Supervisors and are chosen from the citizens at large with reference to their fitness for such office.

Most trustees, listed below, were appointed to staggered terms on April 13, 2015.  After the initial staggered terms, library trustees will be appointed for terms of four years and may serve two consecutive terms in addition to filling a partial, unexpired term.

The regular meetings are held quarterly on the third Wednesday in the months of January, April, July, and October at 2:00 pm at the library headquarters facility—1294 Jefferson Street in Boydton.

The annual meeting, which is primarily for the purpose of the election of officers and the adoption of an annual report, is held at the time of the regular meeting in July of each year.

Meetings are open to the public.
