Summer Reading

The 2016 Summer Reading Program is free for all ages, preschool through teens. The program will provide educational and fun activities designed to improve and maintain reading skills. You will receive a reading log to record the titles of books that you read this summer. Adults may read to children not yet able to read. For every title read, you may put in a ticket for the final prize drawings.

Crafternoons at the Library

Kathy Meek will be conducting adult craft programs once a month at the library. These are FREE classes and supplies will be provided. Registration is required and each class is limited to the first 15 who register.

  • June 21st from 1:00-2:00- Participants will learn how to make a beach themed wall hanging.

Yoga with Peggy

Join us for Yoga at Metcalfe County Public Library every Tuesday at 4:30. 

The class is taught by Registered Yoga Instructor Peggy Burcham (RYI).  No prior Yoga experience is necessary!


Yoga engages the mind, body and spirit and is a healthy way to release stress.  If you've never done yoga before, give it a try and see what it can do for you!
