Friends of the Library Used Book Sales
The Oconee County Friends of the Library sponsors a used book sale the second Thursday of each month. The sale is open to everyone and is held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the lower level of the Walhalla Library, 501 W. South Broad Street, Walhalla, SC. Friends also sponsors occasional Saturday sales, which are announced in the local papers and in the organization’s newsletter, Friends to Friends.
Our extensive collection is comprised of items donated by the public and/or culled from the libraries’ shelves. These items are very reasonably priced, with prices ranging from $0.25 to $5.00. Special books, such as coffee table or collectible books, may be priced higher.
Items available for purchase at the Used Books Sales include:
soft cover books
FOL welcomes donations of any of the above items from the public which, subsequently, are available at the book sales.
Money raised from the book sales is used to supplement the Library System’s purchases of new books and reading materials, helps fund the Children’s Reading Program and to provide additional library support.
The next regular sale is Thursday, May 8 from 9:00 - 5:00.
The next Saturday sale will be on April 26, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
