Palestine Public Library is accepting donations of materials you no longer want. Donations may either be added to the collection based on the library’s collection development policy or added to the items for the Friends book sale.
Materials are accepted as memorial donations. The decision to include gift materials will be based on the following consideration: meeting selection criteria, physical condition is satisfactory and sufficient to withstand numerous circulations, the library needs the item. A memorial bookplate will be placed in these items, listing both the deceased and the donor.
Monetary donations are accepted as memorial gifts as well. Such donations are deposited into a separate “Memorial” account with the city and are used for purchasing resources for the library. Unless a specific area of interest is designated below, the library staff uses its own discretion in selecting materials purchased with these funds.
Palestine Public Library is a non-profit organization and donations are tax-deductible. For more information about how to donate to Palestine Public Library, please contact the library at 903-729-4121.
