Community Meeting Rooms

LOUIS PROGRAM ROOM - (1st Floor) This room will hold 30 to 40 people depending on the arrangement of chairs and the use of tables. The normal layout of the room is four tables and twenty chairs. Additional white folding tables and folding chairs are available. (24 hours notice is required for setup if you need more than the standard 20 chairs.)

The room contains a projection screen. A sink and mini-refrigerator are also available for use.

FOUNDERS' ROOM - (2nd Floor)

This room is permanently set up with a single table with twelve chairs. Eight additional chairs are set up around the perimeter of the room. The Founders' Room may be used for meetings on a limited basis. It is suitable for smaller groups of a dozen or less.

Reservations should be made at least twenty-four hours in advance. This room is not suitable for loud or boisterous groups. 

FOOD & DRINK-Food and beverages are discouraged in this room. Use of the sink in this room is restricted. 

You may pick up an application to use the Founders' Room at the first floor Circulation Desk, or the Administration Office in the Lower Level.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM ROOM - (Lower level)
Public usage is limited.

This room will hold 30 to 40 people depending on the arrangement of chairs and the use of tables. A sink is available. 

Tables used for food or crafts must be placed in the area with tiled flooring.

NOTE: The library does not provide craft supplies. Access to back stage at the puppet theater is prohibited. Tables must be covered when used for crafts.

STUDY ROOMS - (2nd Floor)

The Library has two study rooms on the second floor that each have a central table and six chairs. 

Study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis. They are extremely popular and reservations are encouraged, but not required.

Usage Guidelines

AVAILABILITY: These rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, however, library sponsored activities have first priority. There are no fees for the use of these rooms. Reservations should be made at least twenty-four hours in advance. 

HOURS: Rooms are available during regular library hours. You will be notified as soon as possible of any change in hours or operations that would impact your reservation. It is also possible to make after-hours reservations, however a library staff member or designee must remain present to secure the premises following after-hours use. A fee for these extra hours could be assessed. We ask that groups using these rooms conclude their meeting/usage at least 15 minutes prior to library closing.     

SMOKING IS PROHIBITED IN THE LIBRARY

RESTRICTIONS: Use of these rooms is restricted to non-profit organizations.  Use shall be restricted to those activities that do not violate general community standards or interfere with general Library operations.  (i.e. excessive noise, demonstrations, impeding Library patron flow or access to materials).  Reimbursement for damage to the facility and cleaning the room is the responsibility of the individual and/or group that originally reserved the room.

FOOD & DRINK: Food and beverages are permitted in many of these rooms.  Reasonable care must be taken with food and liquids brought into the room. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the Library without the express, written approval of the Director and/or the Library Board of Trustees.

CRAFTS: If your group will be using glitter, paints, glue, or other potentially "messy" craft items; you must receive special permission from the library director. If permission is granted, you are responsible for cleanup and/or the cost to repair any damage that may occur.
