Beekeeping in Middle Tennessee – Tuesday, June 6 at 2:30 PM

Join us for an educational program about beekeeping in Middle Tennessee presented by special guest Michele Harbin. Participants will learn the importance of honey bees to our ecosystems, how to attract and protect them, the benefits of honey & bee pollen as supplements, and other fun facts about this important species. We will also sample local honey & bee pollen. Plus, drawing for door prizes! (Ages 16 & up are welcome to attend.)

 

Pollinator Program presented by the UT Extension Office – Tuesday, June 13 at 2:30

Let's learn about pollinators & plants that attract them! We'll focus on native bees, butterflies, and a few other important pollinators. There will be examples of habitats for native bees & butterflies, and information on Monarch Waystation certification. Plus, door prizes are drawn at the end of the presentation! (Ages 12 & up are welcome to attend.)

Eating Smart and Moving More presented by the UT Extension Office – Thursdays (June 29 to July 27) from 1:30-2:45 PM

The class will focus on making healthy food choices within a limited budget and having a physically active lifestyle. Learn new recipes and receive free kitchen tools each week! Sign-ups are required.

 

Homesteading by Be Brave Farm – Saturday, July 15 at 10:00 AM

Join us for a presentation on homesteading by Be Brave Farm. You will also learn how to make a potato-based sourdough bread starter to take home. Sign-ups are required. Class limit: 15 people.

 

Mardi Gras Murder Mystery – Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM

You have been invited to a Mardi Gras masquerade hosted by Marshall Inglewood, the Governor of Louisiana. The party will be held at the governor’s posh New Orleans mansion. Everyone is expecting an elegant evening with hor d’oeuvres, drinks, and dancing, but as it turns out, something mysterious is afoot! Sign-ups are required.
