Acquisitions is the purchasing and budget department of the library, and dictates what funds go to what departments for equipment or supply purchases. Meet Hector. Hector's task is to purchase equipment and supplies for each Library Department as needed, track all purchases done and amounts allocated for the library, deal with vendors and suppliers that the library has existing accounts with, purchase new books from press companies and assist in deleting old MARC Records to make way for new books that are awaiting cataloging.
