The Ruidoso Public Library brings you Writing and Publishing 101, presented by novelist, B. A. Coots.   The first of three workshops, "Finding Your Voice" will be March 21st  from 1 pm to 3 pm.  The second, "Who is Your Reader" will be presented April 18th from 1 pm to 3 pm.  The third and final "Introduction to Publishing" will be May 23rd from 1 pm to 3 pm.

Media Center Introduction Seminar, April 26th from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at the Ruidoso Public Library

The Media Center available components:  Two iMac computers with CD/DVD drives; A video camera that shoots high quality HD video;  A canon power shot 20 mega pixel camera; Two durable High Quality fluid head tripods; A Mini DV player/recorder; Two 4 head VCR’s;  A photo light/video lighting system; A negative/positive, slide, document scanner; Desktop Audio recording equipment; A field recording unit with boom pole and condenser microphone; Four 25 ft XLR cables                            

Potential:  The components within the media center may help the village/public to train, digitize phone, tablet, older media and create original media. Training on use of the media center components can help one gain skills useful as a Journalist, Radio Host, Photographer, Archivists, Videographer, Producer, Director Foley Artist, Actor, Musician, Writer, Audio Technician and Lighting Technician.
