About Us

The Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe provides library services at three locations: the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Library, the Saginaw Chippewa Academy, and the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Libraries are a partner of the Chippewa River District Library System and participate in the shared catalog system. This means that resources from all CRDL and partner libraries are available to SCIT library cardholders.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Libraries are a member of the Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative, a resource-sharing group that provides our patrons with access to Overdrive ebooks and other services.

The Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Libraries are a member of the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services, a library membership group that provides group purchasing, training, and other services. This means that SCIT library cardholders can borrow items from libraries all over the state via MeLCat interlibrary loan.
