This large-format volume from the Insiders series offers excellent pictures of systems, organs, and even individual cells in the human body. Browsers drawn by the "wow" factor of a spread featuring a bionic person, with cutaway views showing devices such as an artificial leg and heart, joint replacements, and a pacemaker, may find some of the less technological marvels described here just as amazing. A paragraph of text introduces each topical spread, but the colorful pictures, precise captions, and informative sidebars steal the show.
