The Sedro-Woolley City Library has a job opening for a Youth Services Specialist – 26 hours per week; some night & evening hours required. Primarily responsible for Story Times, Summer Reading Program, Play & Learns, & other youth-based activities. Desk duties when needed. Experience working with children & teens; knowledge of early learning - essential. Library/ILS knowledge preferred. Closes Monday, March 27th @ 5:00 pm. Legos in the Library has a new name: Builders Club!
Join us March 21, Tuesday between 2:30pm and 6:30pm for our monthly Lego building event, we provide a variety of building supplies along with our well-loved legos. This free-build activity is a great way for kids of all ages to exercise their imagination and build important STEM concepts, all while having a ton of fun! We have a special STEM engineering activity today so don't miss out!(legos,wood blocks, build-a-maze, straws & connectors, pegboards, mega blocks)

Science Action Club
This coming April the Sedro-Woolley Public Library is starting a 12 week program studying birds in coordination with the California Academy of Sciences called the Science Action Club. The program will be afterschool on Thursdays from 4:15-5:30 beginning April 20th at the Sedro-Woolley Public Library, a free snack will be provided for students involved. This program is aimed at youth in grades 6-8. Read below for more information!
In Science Action Club, youth will explore their local environment and use citizen science to document discoveries, share data, and design strategies to protect our planet.
Students will participate in hands-on games, projects, and investigations to learn more about the natural world.
We will observe birds in our community and share our discoveries with scientists across the globe; and more specifically Cornell University.
