Microsoft IT Academy
The Microsoft IT Academy offers a range of official Microsoft online courses and learning resources covering subjects from digital literacy (how to use a computer) to Microsoft Office business skills, advanced networking, and programming skills.
Are you new to computers? You can get started right away by clicking here where you’ll find basic classes on using a computer and the Internet and no signup is required.
A Microsoft ID. If you already have a Microsoft email account (Hotmail, MSN, outlook), you can use that login information, otherwise:
Create a Microsoft Account:
1.Go to https://signup.live.com and click Sign up.
2.Complete the fields to create your live ID/Microsoft Account.
3.Go back to your email account and verify email.
Next you will need an Enrollment/Access Code. This requires you to visit Sedro-Woolley Public Library. Ask at the front desk, and when you have the enrollment code, proceed with the following steps:
Activate E-Learning Courses:
1.Go to learner site http://itacademy.microsoft.com/, and click Sign In.
2.Select how you want to sign in. In most cases, you will want to choose Microsoft Account. Enter your email and password when prompted.
3.Click the link to redeem your code.
4.Enter the code and your email.
5.Check the box to accept the User Agreement & Click Continue.
6.Fill out the profile information, and click save.
Finding and Accessing Courses
Use the Search Box or Browse Tab to find and add courses. Once you've added a course, you can access it by clicking on My Courses and then clicking the hyperlinked name of the course.
1.Go to learner site http://itacademy.microsoft.com/
2.Click the Sign In button on the right of the home page.
3.Enter with your Microsoft Account and password.
4.From My courses, click the course you would like to start or resume.
You may use our Library computers or your own for IT Academy.

Want to learn to knit? Come and learn to knit a simple washcloth. We will supply a pair of #7 needles and a ball of Sugar and Cream cotton to get you started. These are great gifts and a good way to practice new patterns.
We meet the first Wednesday of every month from 6 to 8 pm
Bring your knitting or crochet project and enjoy our group as we share conversation, knowledge and fun. All skill levels are welcome.
To access your library account :
1. Click on the "My account" button below.
2. Type your entire library card number without spaces into the ID box.
3. The last four digits of your library card number is your PIN number.
New Online DATABASES-GALE GROUP
We have added databases to our Gale Group-Infotrac site. TESTING & EDUCATION REFERENCE CENTER. This nifty new site gives access to all kinds of Practice Tests: SAT, PSAT, GED, ASVAB, AFOQT, Postal, Firefighter, Law Enforcement, U.S. Citizenship and many more tests. Use this database to search thousands of college and graduate school entries. Also new PRICE IT! ANTIQUES AND COLLECTIBLES. An electronic database antique/collectibles pricing tool, containing data from a variety of sources, including online auctions and other sources. The database currently has over 23 million prices realized for art, antiques and collectibles. To use GaleGroup-Infotrac put in the password "spring".
The Sedro-Woolley Public Library now has reciprocal agreements with ALL the public libraries in Skagit County enabling you to apply for a card with the other libraries. If you are a resident of Sedro-Woolley; reside within the city limits; and have a clean borrowing and fine record please come in and we will tell you how to apply.
