Welcome to The Dominion Robert Glass Library
History of the D.R. Glass Library
The D. R. Glass Library is a 2 1/4 story, spacious facility that houses the major collections of the library and other learning information resources in a variety of formats. In support of its teaching, research, and service mission, the Library maintains seven collections that constitute a large portion of the library’s holdings. They are: the Reference Collection, the General Collection, the African-American Studies Collection, the Leisure Reading Collection, the Law Collection, the Curriculum Lab, or Teacher Education Collection, and the Archives Museum. Resources in the collections may be accessed through the on-line catalog. There are six electronic databases that provide additional resources and learning information such as e-Books, full-text articles, and inter-library loan services. E-books are accessed through TexShare, an electronic database which gives access to over 28,000 eBooks through EBSCO host, as well as access to full-text searches on a variety of subjects. JStor is a digital library of academic journals. It provides full-text searches of over 2000 journals. Other electronic databases include the Gale Virtual Reference Library, the Global Road Warrior, the Small Business Resource Database, and the U.S. History in Context Database. All of which are accessible on campus site as well as remotely through the Library’s webpage.
