Women on the Frontier
Join us on Thursday, March 21 at 6:00 as we will learn skills of the early pioneer woman during the early 1800's as they settled in Union Parish and made homesteads. Cathy Tucker will teach us about making breads from yeast and cooking over an open fire. Buckskin Billy, (historical re-enacter) will share with us skills for fire building, primitive hunting, and early fur trading encampments. Other special guests will share household wares from the early 1800's.
