Friday mornings at 10, June and July

Beat the heat this summer with a free family-friendly movie every Friday morning.  Free popcorn and lemonade will be served, or feel free to bring your own snacks.  No registration required - just come on in!  Due to popular demand, arriving early is recommended. Larger groups are welcome, but please arrange visit in advance by calling Genevieve at 252-237-5355 ext 5050.

June 1
The Lego Batman Movie

(PG, 1 hour 44 minutes).  "In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman (Will Arnett) – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up."

June 8
Boss Baby

(PG, 1 hour 37 minutes).  "DreamWorks Animation presents the fun-filled, feel-good comedy of the year, The Boss Baby! Seven-year-old Tim Templeton suddenly finds his share of parental love plummeting when his new baby brother (Alec Baldwin) arrives — wearing a suit and toting a briefcase — and makes it clear to everyone that he's in charge. But when Tim discovers that Boss Baby is on a secret mission, he reluctantly agrees to team up with his pint-sized sibling for an epic adventure that might just change the world! "

Smurfs: The Lost Village

Captain Underpants

(PG, 1 hour 29 minutes).  "Tra-la-laa! DreamWorks Animation presents the year's most hysterically heroic comedy, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie! George and Harold are fourth-grade BFFs who love dreaming up funny pranks. One day, they accidentally hypnotize their principal into believing he's a dimwitted hero named Captain Underpants. But when the new schoolteacher turns out to be a disgraced scientist bent on ridding the world of laughter, George, Harold and Captain Underpants must band together to stop his evil agenda!"

Mune, Guardian of the Moon

(PG, 1 hour 25 minutes).  "In a land far away, the sun and moon shine only thanks to heroic Guardians. But when an unlikely little creature, Mune, is chosen to be the new Guardian of the Moon, a vengeful ex-Guardian takes advantage of his inexperience and steals the sun! Now Mune must team up with Sohone, the swaggering Guardian of the Sun, and Glim, a headstrong girl with a taste for adventure, to rescue the sun and save their world."

Despicable Me 3

Ferdinand

(PG, 1 hour 48 minutes).  " From the creators of Ice Age and Rio comes the most love-a-bull family comedy of the year!  Ferdinand (John Cena) is a giant bull with a big heart. After being mistaken for a dangerous beast and torn from his home, he rallies a misfit team of friends for the ultimate adventure to return to his family.  Based on the classic children’s book, Ferdinand proves you can’t judge a bull by it’s cover! "

July 27
Coco

(PG, 1 hour 45 minutes).  "In Disney/Pixar's vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, an aspiring young musician named Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Héctor (voice of Gael Garcia Bernal) becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family's stories and traditions."
