- Using the Library
The library has variety of meeting rooms, which are available free of charge for the use of qualifying groups.
The assembly room is our largest meeting room (1025 sq ft), holding up to 120 people depending on configuration. Chairs and tables can be arranged in a variety of styles, as well as podium and projector screen. Further equipment is available upon request (see below). Food is allowed; amenities include a full-service kitchen, telephone, and private bathrooms. The library provides wireless internet connectivity. The assembly room is located on the first floor opposite the circulation desk.
Smaller groups may prefer our conference room (480 sq ft), which seats up to 25 people and has a conference-table setup with podium and projector screen. Further equipment is available upon request (see below). The library provides wireless internet connectivity. Food is allowed in this room, and a sink is available, no other kitchen amenities. The conference room is located at the back of the first floor mezzanine level.
Two tutoring rooms are available in the Children’s Department. These rooms seat 2-3 people and have a table and chairs. These rooms are available on a first-come first-serve basis – they cannot be reserved, and no application is required for their use.
A variety of equipment is available for group use at the main library upon request and should be reserved in advance to guarantee availability.

Elm City Meeting Room
The Elm City branch library has one meeting room available. It holds up to 30 people, and provides one table and 8 chairs. To reserve this meeting room, please contact the Elm City Library at 252-236-4269 during their hours of operation.
