March 2024 Northwood Public Library News

Happy March! Happy reading!

We had a great turnout for our February 29th Painting With Carolyn class and are already almost full for our March 18th class. On Monday March 18th Carolyn is coming at 6:30 and she will be coming and teaching us how to do a monochromatic watercolor painting. These events are always so fun and challenging! We are limited to 20 spots, so please call us at 324-1340 or message us on Facebook to put your name down on the list. Only $3 to come Paint with Carolyn!

We have a very special Story Time on Saturday March 23rd from 10:30-11:30. Northwood’s own JoAnn Lower has written and published a children’s book and she is going to come read her book to us! Young or old, you are all invited to come and listen to JoAnn read her book to us! Afterwards, she will be open to questions about her book and the process. She will also have her book available to purchase and sign!

We will have Story Time on Friday mornings at 10:00. The dates for March are the 1st and 22nd. Story Time is geared for toddler and preschool age, but babies are welcome too! It’s a fun time for kids to socialize together, learn about sitting quietly for a short story or two, have some fun coloring and playing with the library toys. Parents and caregivers can enjoy some chit chat too! Please pay attention to the library’s facebook page for more information.

The library has two different book clubs that participate in a monthly reading and discussion. If this is anything that sounds interesting to you, don’t hesitate to reach out at the library!
