Apply for a library card

All Tennessee residents are eligible for a library card at no cost. To apply, you may complete the electronic application at home or at the library.  Click this link to apply.

Then, simply present proof of your identity and current address at the front desk to receive your physical card. The parent/legal guardian and the juvenile (17 and under) must both be present to receive their physical library card after completing the electronic application and signing a permission form.

Parents are responsible for anything their child checks out, fines, damages, and lost items and as such are expected to monitor their children's activities.

Individuals that live outside the state may obtain a library card at an annual cost of $10.00 for adults 18+ and $5.00 for ages 17 and under.
