Library Information

Getting a library card:
All residents in the Millersville Library service area are eligible for a library card.  Photo identification and proof of current mailing address are required. Your library card account will need to be updated in two years and you will be asked to verify your contact information.  Please notify the library when any of your contact information changes.

Using your library card:
A library card must be presented at the time of checkout.  You may check out up to five items on each library card that is in good standing.
Books and CDs checkout for two weeks and can be renewed once.  DVDs check out for 1 week only, no renewals.
Items cannot be renewed if they are on reserve.
You may place items on reserve online, over the phone, or in person.  All reserved items must be picked up within one week of notification.

Using your library card online:
You can manage your account, check due dates, renew items, reserve items, create lists, and save your searches online.  On the home page, click “My Account” and log in using your library card number. Your pin will be the last four digits of your primary phone number on file.  You can also create your own EZ login.

Notifications:
It is your responsibility to return or renew items before the due date.  If your contact information is correct you will be notified by an automated phone call when the items are overdue.
If you provide a valid email address you can receive a courtesy notice 3 days before the items are due.  The library uses the email address for notifications only.

Fines and fees:
Overdue fines are charged at $0.10 per day for print and audio materials and $1.00 per day for movies. The maximum overdue fine limits are $10.00 for movies and $5.00 for all other items.
Replacement cards cost $1.00
Fees for lost or damaged materials are charged at the replacement cost of the item.
