A 2012 poll conducted for the American Library Association found that 94 percent of respondents agreed that public libraries play an important role in giving everyone a chance to succeed because they provide free access to materials and resources.
Beginning on September 3, 2013, the Murphy Public Library will issue new patron cards after they call and verify the patron information provided, which will be primarily the address and phone numbers provided on the registration card. The new patron card will be mailed to the address provided by the patron.
Patrons who wish to use any of the NC Live resources should login using their library card number as their password. The username is Nantahala Regional Library.
If you are a library cardholder and you'd like to access your account to place holds on items or renew items, you'll be asked for "Patron / Alternate ID Number." What's that? It's your library card number, which can be found on the front of your library card. You'll also be asked for a PIN, which is the last four digits of your phone number. If you have questions, contact your local library.
If you or someone you know, for any reason is unable to get to your library and you would like bookmobile service, please call the Nantahala Regional Library at 837-2025.
