November 2024 Northwood Public Library News
Happy November! I can’t believe where the year has gone! I hope that with the chillier days and the upcoming holidays that you can still find plenty of time to read!
We had our annual Halloween party at the end of October and it was a wonderful time! Thank you to all who came and had fun at the party! Also, a huge thank you to the family of Marybelle Block for sponsoring our party in her memory. They bought the books and brought the bookmarks, tattoos, and snacks for our party.
The library has three days in November that we will be closed for holidays. Monday November 11th for Veterans Day and Thursday November 28th and Friday November 29th for Thanksgiving.
We have three Friday morning Story Times scheduled in November. They will start at 10:00 on Friday November 1st , November 15th, and November 222nd. Story Time is geared for toddler and preschool age, but babies are welcome too! It’s a fun time for kids to socialize together, learn about sitting quietly for a short story or two, have some fun coloring and playing with the library toys. Parents and caregivers can enjoy some chit chat too! Please watch the library’s Facebook page for more information.
On Thursday November 14th, we will have a special kids program with Teresa Stehn from Worth County Farm Bureau. She will be coming at 5:00 to teach us about pumpkins and pumpkin pie! It will be fun (and yummy!) so we hope to see you there!
The library has two different book clubs that participate in a monthly reading and discussion. If this is anything that sounds interesting to you, don’t hesitate to reach out at the library for more information!
