The Vernon Parish Library Board met in regular session, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 3:30 p.m.

Members present were Mrs. Westerchil, Mrs. Jones, Mrs. Whitlock and Mrs. McKee. Absent were Dr. Biggs, Mr. Davis and Mrs. Beale.

Mrs. Westerchil opened the meeting. Mrs. McKee led in opening prayer.

Mrs. Jones made the motion, seconded by Mrs. Whitlock to approve the minutes for the last meeting as submitted. Carried.

Mr. Coy presented the financial, statistical and Director’s reports.

Under new business, Mrs. Jones made the motion, seconded by Mrs. Whitlock, to declare the old book drop box surplus and to approve purchase of a new box in the amount of $4901.95. Carried. The old box is rusting, and leaks. The lock has been repaired several times.  The new box is warranted not to rust.

There being no other business, meeting was adjourned. Motion made by Mrs. Whitlock, seconded by Mrs. McKee.
