Venito Garcia was a living breathing O’odham Library. He carried a wealth of information and was known as a philosopher and historian. He was always willing to share O’odham history, culture, ceremonies, songs, and dances with O’odham youth, elders, student and any community member or outsider he encountered. We are honored to carry out his legacy within the library and support the community’s culture and information needs as he did.
