The Ninety Six Branch Library was housed in a small building where the Ninety Six Visitors Center is now located before moving to its present site in 1985. The formal dedication ceremony was held on April 14, 1985.

The Ninety Six Branch Manager is Shannon Rickert.  The Ninety Six Branch Library has computers, photocopier/printers and Wi-Fi.

Summer Reading Kickoff: Kona Ice

About: Kick off Summer Reading with Kona Ice of Greenwood at the Ninety Six Branch. Stop by to get one free snowcone per person before they're gone!

Adventure Journal

Age Group: All Ages (Children 5+, Teen, and Adult)

About: Write and draw your adventures over the summer - from family trips to backyard exploration! 

Anyone can journal their summer adventures. Be creative and make it personal by adding drawings, jokes, comics, or any special items you find along the way.

Adventure Starts in Your Backyard

About: Wildlife is all around us but hard to spot unless you know how to look for the signs. Learn some tips and tricks scientists use and take your own trek through your backyard. You might be surprised by what you discover! 2nd Annual Community Field Day

Age Group: All Ages (Children, Teens, and Adult)

About: Welcome to our 2nd Annual Community Field Day!  See who can pick up a rubber chicken with pool noodles or sit on a balloon and pop it the fastest. Work with your teammates and see how far you can get!

The Great Wagon Road

Age Group: All Ages (Children, Teens, and Adults)

When: Wednesday, July 17: 2:00 - 4:00 PM

About: Join us as we travel down the Great Wagon Road with a traveling trunk borrowed from the 96 Star Fort. This is a game to be played with your family or with other families (up to 10 people per board). Let's travel the Carolina Backcountry.

About: Join Ms Shannon for storytime, music and a craft. We will be reading books about going on adventures and doing some Adventure Dot Art, as well as some singing and dancing fun.

 

 

Curious George, Go West - Go Wild! 

Age Group: (Birth - 5th Grade)  older siblings still welcome)

About: Join us as we watch Curious George, Go West - Go Wild!  Let's hop in the saddle with Curious George as we head into the wild blue yonder to wrangle up escaped farm animals!

About: Take a look around the Library and tp see if you can find 8 hidden pictures of camping items. You may do this one time during the summer.  When you have found all the items you will get a prize out of the treasure box.

About: Can you figure out the riddles and clues to different parts of the Library? Find all 9 letters, and unscramble them and find the original word. Once you have it figured out, you can pick a prize out of the treasure box.
