Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Registration Form

United Way of Northwest Louisiana and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library want to help more kids have books in their homes. Through the program, carefully selected books are delivered directly to the child’s home – one per month – until their 5th birthday! That means, by the time he goes to kindergarten, he’ll have his own library full of wonderful worlds and far-off places. He’ll be more excited to read and to learn, setting him up for a productive future. Thanks to United Way of Northwest Louisiana and other community partners, all of the preschoolers in the Natchitoches Parish community can now have their own Imagination Library. Every child will have books of their very own, at no cost to you. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a FREE GIFT to our children! All you have to do is read to your children.

Food Bank of Central Louisiana

It is with the generous support of individual and corporate donors that the Food Bank of Central Louisiana is able to serve more than 22,400 people every month in communities across Central Louisiana. For every dollar donated, the Food Bank of Central Louisiana is able to provide five meals to families in need. In 2015, over 6.9 million pounds of food was distributed to children, families, and seniors in need of emergency food assistance. Each year, the Feeding America network of food banks and food-rescue organizations distributes more than two billion pounds of food and grocery products to support feeding programs at approximately 50,000 local charitable agencies, including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after-school programs and Kids Cafes. Every dollar, every can of food, is one more step towards ending hunger in Central Louisiana.

Natchitoches Chamber of Commerce

Business leaders founded the Chamber in 1919 and it has enjoyed a strong tradition of business and community activism for nearly a century. The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce serves the needs of not just the city of Natchitoches (the parish seat), but all of Natchitoches Parish. The Chamber's mission is to make Natchitoches a better place to live and work. Involved heavily with education reform, community advancement and economic development, the Chamber also provides the needed resources and support that many businesses, large and small, need to maintain a competitive edge in today's demanding economy. In talking about what the Chamber is, it is important to note what the Chamber is NOT:  it is not a government agency, a branch of City Hall, nor a State or Federal organization. A volunteer Board of Directors, each nominated by membership, leads the Chamber. The members are local businesses, individuals and service groups with a desire to improve their business, meet other progressive and active business and community leaders, and see improvements across all of Natchitoches that lends to the success of all businesses.

Legal Services of North Louisiana

The general purpose of LSNL is to serve the individual legal needs of the community and establish the program as a responsive community service agency, while providing quality legal services to the eligible client population. LSNL is a non-profit Corporate Law firm providing legal services to those who cannot afford a private lawyer. No fee is charged for these services. However, before a case can be accepted, certain requirements must be met. LSNL was formed on February 11, 2002, via a merger of Northwest Louisiana Legal Services, Inc. of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Kisatchie Legal Services Corporation of Natchitoches, Louisiana. Prior to the merger, Northwest Louisiana Legal Services and its predecessor, Caddo-Bossier Legal Aid Society, served the Shreveport area in providing legal services since 1967, while Kisatchie Legal Services Corporation provided legal services to the Natchitoches area since 1978. Additionally, as of January 1, 2002, the Legal Services Corporation awarded LSNL an additional twelve (12) parishes located in the uppermost northern section of Louisiana. Therefore, LSNL now serves twenty-six (26) of 64 or 41% of the parishes of Louisiana. The parishes served are Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Catahoula, Claiborne, Concordia, Desoto, East Carroll, Franklin, Grant, Jackson, LaSalle, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Richland, Sabine, Tensas, Union, Webster, West Carroll and Winn.
