Donations
Used Book Donations
Pioneer Memorial Library welcomes donations that are clean, dry, and mold-free. They are checked by a staff member, who determines if the donations can be added to the collection. If not, they are passed to the Friends, who add them to their used book store or for one of their book sales.
Donation Guidelines:
- You can bring your donations to Pioneer Memorial Library. You can bring them in and take them to the Conference Room/Used Book Store, where they can be left on the long table. If you need assistance bringing in your donations, please ask a staff member.
- Donations are accepted any time the library is open.
- Bring your materials in boxes or bags that can be left at the library.
- Inspect your donations! If you wouldn't give it to a friend, please don't give it to the library.
We gladly accept:
- Hardcover and paperback books in good condition
- DVDs and audiobooks in their original cases
We do NOT accept:
- CDs, VHS, cassettes
- Textbooks
- Magazines
- Encyclopedias
- Medical books
- Reader's Digest condensed books
- Outdated materials
- Books with missing covers or pages
- Items that are unhealthy to handle, dirty, moldy, smelly, chewed, wet, or otherwise damaged
