Genealogy Club

Have you ever wanted to learn about your family lineage? Then why not attend our adult Genealogy Club? We meet once a month on the third Monday from 10am to 12pm. Our teacher will show you how to use free online resources as well as tricks to track down past family members. All you need is to bring the names of some of your relatives. This club is open to beginners as well as advanced researchers. If you miss a session, no worries as our teacher will work with anyone who attends.

Knitting and Crochet Class

Adult Crochet and Knit class meets every Tuesday from 3:30pm to 5:00pm. This class is open to beginners as well as advanced members. Bring your work and our teachers will help you with it. We also have knitting needles, crochet hooks and yarn to help those who are completely new and don't know where to begin. We hope to see you there!

Mystery Readers Book Club

The Mystery Readers meet on the second Thursday of each month at 3:00pm. They read a mystery or thriller novel and have a discussion about it each month. Copies of the book will be available at the front desk for checkout to patrons with a library card. Light refreshments are provided at this meeting.

Adult Creative Writing Club

The Adult Creative Writing Club is a group of individuals who write fiction novels, short stories, poetry, memoirs, and fan fiction. The group meets twice a month, on the 2nd Thursday at 4:30pm and the 4th Thursday at 4:00pm. During our first meeting, the group is given 30 minutes to write a story with a given prompt. We then read our work and ask for thoughts and feedback. The purpose of the prompt night is to get our creative juices following. At our meeting on the fourth Thursday we bring 5 pages (doubled space) of our personal work. We pass out copies of our work for the rest of the group to read along with and make comments, corrections, etc. Some of our members have published their work and some individuals just love writing. Regardless of where you are on the writing process, we hope you will join us. Occasionally a guest author will come speak to the group about writing tips, publishing,and much more!

Adult Bingo

Adult Bingo is on the fourth Thursday of the month at 1:30pm. We meet in the story time room and play for about an hour and a half. There are small prizes for individuals to win. It does not cost anything to play and no advanced signup required.

Bookworms Book Club

This book club is for adults and meets the last Thursday of each month at 10am. This club reads a variety of books chosen by the members. We occasionally do a book/movie meeting where we discuss the book then watch the movie. Copies of the book will be available at the front desk for checkout to patrons with a library card. Light refreshments are provided at this meeting.
