The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives. This is a free resource that contains general health information, news, research and more. 

MedlinePlus is an online health information resource for patients and their families and friends. MedlinePlus is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). MedlinePlus is a free database that contains health topics, drug facts, medical tests, genetics and more. 

DailyMed contains labeling for prescription and nonprescription drugs for human and animal use, and for additional products such as medical gases, devices, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical foods.  

The Office on Women's Health leads a wide range of activities and programs that inform and advance policies, educate the public and health professionals, and support innovative programs. This free database covers topics related to women’s health. 

Kidshealth contains doctor-reviewed advice on hundreds of physical, emotional, and behavioral topics, separate sections for parents, kids, and teens, easy-to-follow articles, slideshows, videos, and health tools designed to help families learn, grow, and be their best. It also has free lesson plans and programs for teachers and early childhood educators.

The mission of the Office of Minority Health is to improve the health of racial and ethnic minority populations through the development of health policies and programs that will help eliminate health disparities. This free database contains articles, news, and an online catalog. 

This database provides information about cultural beliefs, medical issues and other topics related to the health care of immigrants to the US. 

Health Information Translations provides education resources in multiple languages for health care professionals and others to use in their communities. Resources are easy to read and culturally appropriate. 

The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health conducts and supports research and provide information about complementary health products and practices. 

National Institute on Aging is the primary Federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease research.  

The Eldercare Locator is a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging that connects you to services for older adults and their families. 

The purpose of the youmenshealth website is to provide carefully researched health information to teenage boys and young men.  

The Center for Young Women’s Health is an educational entity that is committed to providing girls and young women with carefully researched health information, educational programs, and conferences. 

The National Institute on Drug Abuse’s mission is to advance science on the causes and consequences of drug use and addiction and to apply that knowledge to improve individual and public health.

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism’s mission is to generate and disseminate fundamental knowledge about the effects of alcohol on health and well-being, and apply that knowledge to improve diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of alcohol-related problems, including alcohol use disorder, across the lifespan.
